A U.S. Senator from here in the Upstate has been outspoken in his support for the military operation in Iran. Over the weekend Israel and the U.S. launched operation "Epic Fury".
Iran's Supreme Leader was killed in one of the weekend strikes. A few American military members were also killed in the operation. Senator Lindsey Graham has shown support for the operation saying it's necessary to be able to stand against terrorism.
Graham said on NBC's Meet The Press Sunday " It’s heartbreaking to lose comrades but this vicious enemy we’re confronting in Iran needs to be confronted. The risk that our soldiers are facing has to be made, has to be taken for us to be safe".
The strikes on Iran have produced varying opinions across the country, with critics calling for limits on President Trump's military actions without congressional approval.
