Police say an Upstate man has been arrested after a teenage girl gave birth to his baby, last month.
The Abbeville Police Department says an investigator responded to Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, December 18th after being notified that a 13 year old girl from Abbeville had given birth.
Hospital staff also reported that the teen and the newborn tested positive for THC. Police say 28 year old, Torren Simmons of Abbeville fathered the child. They also determined he and the minor created child sexual abuse material together.
Simmons is charged with 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor, and other crimes.
