A Western North Carolina man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of child sex crimes. 47 year old, Michael Joseph Dean of Translyvania County was convicted on 6 counts of statutory rape, after a three week jury trial.
Court records show that Dean was arrested after sexually assaulting the victim multiple times over the course of four years.
The judge sentenced Dean was to between 150 and 200 years in prison, as each the sentences on each count will run consecutively.
