Central Florida has been waiting to see a major part of our economy return in the form of the many local theme parks.
Universal Orlando will open for business this Friday, June 5. Both Walt Disney World and SeaWorld recently received approval to begin opening on July 11. The sections of Disney and Universal that are currently open, CityWalk and Disney Springs, have adjusted their hours in a response to the curfew in place for Orange County and Orlando.
The first major park to open to guests, as of yesterday (June 1), is LEGOLAND Florida Resort.
The Winter Haven park reportedly had about 100 guests lined up and ready to go when they opened yesterday morning.
Although masks are not required, there are social distancing guidelines in place all over the park, along with hand sanitizer stations, and the park plans to operate at 50% of it's capacity.
