There are some animals people want to pet, and then there are animals people want to avoid at all cost. Unless that person is a bull rider or Johnny Knoxville, bulls are definitely in the category of animals to avoid. Sadly, a group of mountain bike riders learned that the hard way recently as their race was disrupted by a bull on the attack.

A Rock Cobbler mountain biking event was held in California recently, and while the scenic race route through the hills was great for spectators, it led to an unfortunate event for a number of riders. As seen in the clips that recently went viral, multiple riders encountered a massive bull during the race, and sadly it seemed more interested in defending its spot on the track than avoiding the riders. One rider claimed he’d “never been this sore” in his life after getting tossed by the bull.

“Right after the attack, my neck was killing me. That was the focal point of the soreness, now it’s the lower back,” said Tony Inderbitzin. Luckily, none of the riders had serious injuries from the bull attack, according to Bro Bible. Maybe next race they will stick to an area without wildlife.
