If you think the housing market is still a little crazy in the Lone Star State, you just may be right.
According to a report from Texas Realtors, more homes over $1 million were sold in Texas last year than ever before.
14,418 homes sold for over $1 million in 2025, a 12% increase that generated a record $24.5 billion in total volume. According to FOX 4, nearly 90% of these sales occurred in the state's four largest metro areas, with Dallas-Fort Worth leading the state in total sales.
It’s interesting to note, though, that the 14,418 homes sold only represented about 4.3% of all homes sold in Texas. And almost 90% of the home sales that were more than $1 million were in Texas’ four largest metro areas.
