Folks, this is big. Like giant cowboy hat big, but bigger. What am I talking about? My friend Richard Bazzy from Shults Ford. He just gave 18 high school students college scholarships.

They're all from Steel Valley High School in Munhall. As you'll see in the video on this page, Richard tells his daughter Arianna that he was only planning to award one $5,000 scholarship but something changed his mind.

The problem came when Richard and his team started reading through the scholarship applications. Student after student, they told compelling, personal stories about their financial need and how this scholarship will help them. After going through them all came the big decision.

Instead of picking just one recipient, he chose them ALL. That's how moved he was, turning a five-thousand-dollar commitment into $90,000 to help these kids pay for college.

If this sounds familiar, it's not the first time this has happened. Last year there were 11 applicants for Richard Bazzy's Shults Ford Scholarship Fund:

Just wow! How amazing is this?! Way back in the day Richard was one of those Steel Valley High School kids trying to plan out his future. Just check out this picture from his high school yearbook.

Now his own daughter, Arianna, is getting into the family business. Not only does she work with her father at Shults Ford, she also has her dad's love of giving back. You'll see here stories right here with Get Marty.
