When Kennywood Park reopens in spring of 2021, kids ages 17 and under will be required to have an adult chaperone in the park with them after 4pm.

According their website, an adult chaperone "is a parent, guardian, or other supervising adult at least 21 years of age. Adult chaperones must be able to provide valid ID, including a photograph and date of birth."

Chaperones will be required at all times during visits for the park's seasonal events like Phantom Fright Nights and Holiday Lights.

Minors without an adult chaperone during required times will not be allowed into the park.

Earlier this month, Kennywood also announced other changes coming to the Pittsburgh institution... they're retiring several iconic rides including the Kangaroo and Bayern Kurve.
