In a statement posted on Facebook, Kennywood announced that several of its iconic rides will be retired.
Those rides include the Kangaroo, Paratrooper, Bayern Kurve and Volcano.
In their statement, Kennywood said they are always looking for ways to evolve the park.
"Part of the evolution is a continuous examination of the sustainability, capacity and popularity of our attraction lineup. As part of that process, the following rides are being retired: Kangaroo, Paratrooper, Bayern Kurve and Volcano.
"While these attractions have created countless special memories for our Guests and Team Members over the years, we have determined the best path forward at this time is to say goodbye. We hope you will join us in cherishing the memories with these rides, and we look forward to adding new attractions that create new moments to treasure in future seasons."

2020 presented challenges for the park and its sister amusement parks, Sandcastle and Idlewild. All three opened late this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In May, Kennwyood announced that all 2020 season passes would also be good for the 2021 season as a result of the challenges brought on by the pandemic.
The park's annual Halloween celebration, Phantom Fright Nights, was canceled this year as was their Holiday Lights celebration.
