The body of a man who went missing at Cheney Lake over the weekend has been found. Officials say the body of Ty Freel, 48, of Wichita was found Monday morning.
The Reno County Sheriff’s Office says a fisherman discovered the body and notified the Cheney State Park office.
Several agencies were involved in the search for the man after receiving a report of an adult who fell off a boat on the lake Saturday. A drowning was later reported near M&M Point Campground, which is along the southeast corner of the lake.
