
LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Four men were arrested on Tuesday in connection to the follow home robbery that left a 23-year-old man dead last month.
Detectives with LAPD Follow Home Task Force arrested the following suspects: Jayon Sanders, 21, Abraham Castillo, 20, Tyree Singleton, 20 and Joshua Saulsberry, 21.
The District Attorney’s Office charged Sanders. Castillo, and Singleton with murder, attempted robbery and robbery.
Saulsberry received one count of robbery.
According to the press release, during a served search and arrest warrant, detectives found multiple pieces of evidence, including a replica handgun, a handgun, handbags, gang paraphernalia, a Rolex watch, over $30,000 in cash, and two cars used in the crime.
On Nov. 23, officers responded to Bossa Nova Restaurant at 2:10 a.m. following a reported shooting. 23-year-old Jose Ruiz Gutierrez was found unresponsive at the scene and later died.
Investigators later revealed Gutierrez was sitting in a car with a woman and when she got out of the car, a group of men approached her in an attempt to rob her. Gutierrez got out of the car, armed, and exchange of gunfire occurred.
Glendale Police Department, SWAT, Beverly Hills Police Department, Fontana Police Department, Metropolitan Division, and Gang Enforcement Details assisted in the arrest.
The LAPD Follow Home Task Force is still searching for any additional victims and ask those who are victims or know some or who was the victim of robbery to contact detectives.
