LANCASTER (CNS) - Authorities Thursday sought the public's help to find a 74-year-old woman with schizophrenia who went missing from the Lancaster area.
Mary Elsie Spears was last seen on Tuesday about 9 p.m. in the 44600 block of Fig Avenue, at or near Jane Reynolds Park, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Spears is Hispanic, 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt, blue pants and black shoes.
Anyone knowing her whereabouts was urged to call the sheriff's Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS. Tipsters may also use the website http://lacrimestoppers.org.
