
WASHINGTON (KNX) — One of the victims killed by a lightning strike near the White House Thursday was from Los Angeles.
The victim, Brooks A. Lambertson, 29, a bank executive, was reportedly there on business.
Lambertson worked for as a vice president City National Bank and formerly worked for the Clippers. Family and friends said they remembered him for his kindness and generosity.
"Brooks was an incredible young man who will be remembered for his generosity, kindness and unwavering positivity," City National Bank said in a statement, the L.A. Times reported. "His sudden loss is devastating for all who knew him, and his family, friends and colleagues appreciate the thoughts and prayers that have poured in from around the country."
The lightning storm hit Thursday evening, killing three people, including James Mueller, 76, and Donna Mueller, 75, a couple from Wisconsin.
According to the Ventura County Star, lightning struck a 28-year-old woman from Newbury Park but not fatally. Her family told the publication that she is in stable condition in a D.C. area hospital.
