VALLEY GLEN (CNS) - A pedestrian was fatally struck by a Metrolink train Monday in the Valley Glen area.

Paramedics sent to the 12700 block of West Raymer Street at 1:19 p.m. pronounced the person dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fatally injured person, who was in a "non-pedestrian area," was hit by train No. 109, which was westbound on the Ventura County Line, said Scott Johnson of Metrolink. No one was injured aboard the train.

The tracks were closed in the area while an investigation was conducted, Johnson said.
