
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed on the Hollywood (101) Freeway Tuesday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 4:53 a.m. to the southbound 101 Freeway and North Los Angeles Street where they found the pedestrian, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's age and gender were not immediately known.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of the three left lanes of the southbound freeway for three hours while it investigated the crash.
