LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Police Thursday asked for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly attacked a woman in Los Angeles, and then another woman in West Hollywood.
The first incident took place Tuesday afternoon in the 800 block of Vista Street in the Fairfax District. Police said the suspect grabbed a woman and pulled her toward a nearby garage, where he allegedly made threats and demands that “caused the female to fear bodily harm.”

The woman broke free from the suspect’s grasp and ran for help, according to police.
The suspect fled the scene, but a short while later, he was suspected of committing a similar assault on another woman in the 7600 block of Hampton Avenue in West Hollywood, police said. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the second incident, police added.
Police described the man as Black with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 140-150 pounds. He’s believed to be between 30-35 years old and may be homeless, police said.
Anyone with information on the attacks or the suspect’s identity is asked to call the LAPD’s Special Assault Unit at (213) 473-0447.
