Suspect in deadly Westlake stabbing arrested

WESTLAKE, LOS ANGELES (KNX) – The suspect in a deadly stabbing in Westlake was arrested Friday, Los Angeles Police said.

Police arrested Anthony Madison for the murder of Sergio Santay. He was charged with murder as well as attempted murder. His bail was set for $5 million.

Madison had been on probation for assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

The stabbing happened April 8 on Bonnie Brae Street around 2:40 p.m. Madison stabbed 34-year-old Santay in the back of the neck “without provocation.”

Madison then attempted to stab two individuals that same day in another “random and unprovoked” attack.
