Two people escape with ‘mild distress' from 200-foot vehicle fall

HIDDEN SPRINGS (CNS) - Two people escaped with just "mild distress" after a sedan fell approximately 200 feet down the side of the road today on the Angeles Forest Highway in Hidden Springs, authorities said.

The crash, involving a Hyundai Elantra, occurred at about 2:10 p.m. on Angeles Forest Highway at Mile Marker 18.87, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Firefighters and paramedics dispatched to the scene located the two occupants, who were "both ambulatory and in mild distress," the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.

Both parties were hoisted from the crash scene and rushed to a hospital for further evaluation, fire officials said.

The CHP said they were taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.

No further information was immediately available.
