If you’re planning to feast on chicken sandwiches for Christmas weekend, don’t count on getting them at Chick-fil-A.

Typically, Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Christmas Day and every Sunday, since its owners are devout Christians. Christmas falls on a Saturday this year, so the popular fast food destinations will be closed for the entire holiday weekend.

In 2012, Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy caused a controversy for his comments on religion, including comments on same-sex marriage. In 2018, he told an Atlanta TV station that while he maintained his stance on same-sex marriage he did not consider himself anti-gay. In 2019, the company stopped donating to charities that take anti-LGBTQ stances, including the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

According to CNN, the 2,600 Chick-fil-A locations in the U.S. will reopen this year on Monday, Dec. 27. For those who really want their Chick-fil-A favorites for Christmas, reheatable catering trays are available for purchase before their doors shutter on Dec. 25.

Chick-fil-A restaurants are expected to be open on New Year's Eve and Day as they fall on Friday and Saturday.
