We are almost 90 days away from the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup which means new details are being released almost every day.
Monday, local organizers unveiled the plans for FIFA Fan Festival to be held at Dallas' Fair Park.
Dos Equis Pavilion and the surrounding parking lots will be the site of FIFA Fan Fest.
Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Jesse Moreno says while they want everyone to be safe, they also want everyone to be able to take part.
"Public safety is our top priority making sure that the fans are safe, again the residents are safe," Moreno said. "But that this is a positive experience. Not only for everyone coming to see a match but for the people who live here locally as well."
Dallas City Councilman Adam Bazaldua says this is a great opportunity for South Dallas.
"Sometimes the headlines give a stigma to South Dallas," Bazaldua said. "So, we're excited to welcome people from all over the world and showcase the positives that we have to offer here."
There will be concerts as well as local food during the free event during the 34 match days. They will be closed during the five days when no matches are played.
There will also be large screens for people to watch as the World Cup is played across North America.
