Netflix's hit series 'Love is Blind' has returned, and five new couples are nearing the altar to answer the age-old question: Is love truly blind?
Filmed in Dallas-Fort Worth, the third season is a continuation of the 'experiment' made popular in the first two seasons. The show places a group of women and men together to see who will fall in love, only they can't actually see their potential companion until they've decided to 'pop the question.'
The relationships in the third season have evolved past the 'pods' (the booths where their initial anonymous dates were held) and the weddings have begun.
The first couple to walk down the aisle and test if love is truly blind was Raven Ross and Sikiru "SK" Alagbada.
The show led viewers to believe that their journey was a perfect love story, and they would both say yes and run off into the sunset. Episode 10, however, ended with a jaw-dropping twist.
Though they both expressed how much they were ready to marry one another, SK ultimately said "no" during the ceremony. Raven later revealed that she planned to say "yes."
The Dallas-based pilates instructor spoke with KRLD's What to Watch team about the shocking moment.
"You know, it was hard in the moment, but I knew it could go either way. We had talked about how we see our future and we both agreed, you know, we're very much like in love and want to be together in that maybe, you know, time is really the factor. We had a lot of different things stacked against us, like a little bit harder than most people I feel going into it," Ross said.
"It was hard, of course, like to be dumped on TV, but you know, I felt like I was trying to be as understanding as I could."
Though the wedding didn't go exactly as planned, Ross says she wouldn't change a thing if given the chance.
"Sometimes I'm like, we should have just said yes. But, no regrets. I think it's perfect the way that it is and timing is really everything and there is no rush like on forever, so no regrets, " she said.
The show's goal is to experiment with the question, "Is love truly blind?" For Raven, she said the show proved to her that is certainly is.
"I was a little skeptical, but I've always been a person who is like so attracted to like personalities and someone's mind and that's like kind of hard to get at in the real world," she said.
"It really validated that for me. Like, beyond belief . . . I didn't have like low expectations, but I never would have thought that I would have met the quality person that I did meet in the pods, you know? So yeah, love is definitely blind."
The first 11 episodes are now available on Netflix, and the reunion airs next Wednesday.

blockbuster
Netflix has another original series airing this week that might give you deja vu. Based on the nostalgic video store, Blockbuster is a lighthearted workplace comedy starring Randall Park and Melissa Fumero.
The show capitalizes on nostalgia, in an arguably ironic way since the platform it airs on is at least partially to blame for the video store business model's ultimate demise.

The first episode of 'Blockbuster' is now available on Netflix.
