PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are asking people to help them find a driver and vehicle which, they say was involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Kensington.
Police say that at 4 a.m. on Sunday, a white SUV was going southwest on Kensington Avenue near Lehigh Avenue when it hit Lauren Panas, 35, while she was crossing the road.
The vehicle fled the area after the collision, according to police.

Investigators say the vehicle, which may be a 2021 Ford Escape, has front end damage and a dented downward hood.
Panas was taken to a hospital, and she died from her injuries hours after the crash.
Police ask anyone with information on the driver of the vehicle, or its current location, to call the Accident Investigation District at 215-685-3180 or offer an anonymous tip at 215-686-TIPS.
