HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- The Texans have met with Pittsburgh Steelers executive Omar Khan to interview for their open general manager position, the team announced Monday night.

Khan, 43, has been involved with NFL front offices for the Steelers and New Orleans Saints since 1997. He worked in football operations for the Saints from 1997 to 2001, when he joined the Steelers as a football administrations coordinator.

Khan became the Steelers' director of football administration in 2011 and vice president of football and business administration in 2016. He's helped construct two Super Bowl winners for Pittsburgh.

The Texans have also met with ESPN analyst Louis Riddick and their own director of pro personnel Matt Bazirgan. The Houston Chronicle reported the Texans intend to meet with Bills director of pro personnel Malik Boyd, a Houston native.
