Texans to visit Chiefs for AFC divisional playoff round

It was expected but is now official.

The Houston Texans are traveling to the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC divisional playoff round and a chance to appear in the conference championship game for the first time.

If the Texans are to advance, they will have to take down the two-time defending Super Bowl champions who just beat them less than a month ago.

It will be a rematch of a Dec. 21 game at Arrowhead Stadium, which the Chiefs beat the Texans 27-19.

Houston is coming off a convincing 32-12 victory against the Los Angeles Chargers in the wild-card round on Saturday. Later that evening, the Baltimore Ravens advanced by beating the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Sunday, the Buffalo Bills beat the Denver Broncos, setting up the AFC divisional matchups between the Ravens and Bills, and Chiefs and Texans.
