Chase Young has arrived in Ashburn for the Commanders’ mandatory minicamp this week, as revealed on a social media post that sent Commanders fans (and talk radio) into a tizzy.

As he opened his show on Monday, Kevin Sheehan played the audio from the social media video of Young arriving on Commanders’ official channels, where he said “CY 99, checking in for media.”

There is in-house media network time for the players Monday, but nothing official for the beat per se until at least Tuesday – but clearly, Young has heard about his absence from OTAs.

And, to Sheehan, now that he’s in town, it’s all about performance.

“I saw the video of him working out in Colorado, and perhaps he’ll talk about why he wasn’t here, but bottom line is, if he performs, all of this conversation will be voided,” Sheehan said. “We’ll remember it, but I don’t think it’s about whether he’s getting himself ready to play the right way – it’s about commitment to team and teammates as a supposed, at one time, leader on this football team.”

Sheehan then read a Tweet wondering if the Commanders’ sale process is dragging because the rest of the owners are trying to keep Daniel Snyder from his money, and, well, we’re back to business as usual here in DC, it seems.
