Michael Winger and Will Dawkins and the rest of the new leadership and front office of the Washington Wizards get their first crack at re-shaping the team when they make the 8th overall selection in the 2023 NBA Draft on June 22.

To get some insight on one of the prospects the Wizards have been linked with, Arkansas guard Anthony Black, Team 980's Craig Hoffman spoke with SEC Network broadcaster Kevin Fitzgerald to get the scoop on the six-foot-seven Razorback.

"On the court he's got the swagger, he's got the moxy, undoubtedly," Fitzgerald told Hoffman, but off the court he is "very laid-back" and a guy from a great family with "a good head on his shoulders."

The size is impressive and his physicality on the defensive end is a big selling point for Black in Fitzgerald's mind. But there could be some questions about his production on the offensive end. In his lone collegiate season, Black averaged 34.9 minutes per game in 36 starts and averaged 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.1 steals and 3.0 turnovers.

Hoffman and Fitzgerald began their conversation talking about potential No. 3 overall pick Brandon Miller out of Alabama and the legal issue he found himself in the center of. And they closed out their chat with some thoughts on the New York Knicks making a move for Wizards guard Bradley Beal. Listen to the full conversation on the player above.
