CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An extra-alarm fire left a West Garfield Park masonry warehouse in ruins.
No one was injured in Tuesday morning’s fire, the CFD said. Firefighters were called to the single-story commercial building on Fulton and Kenton at around 6:45 a.m. and discovered intense flames shooting out of the roof. Crews battled the fire for about an hour, taking a defensive position with multiple aerial streams of water. The department announced at about 7:45 a.m. that the fire had been struck out.
The warehouse belonged to a masonry supply company.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
