INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Indiana health officials said mental health conditions have become more prevalent among Hoosiers since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

Jennifer Sullivan, secretary of the Indiana's Family and Social Services Administration, said many are affected by COVID-19 itself, while others are experiencing added difficulties spurred by cold weather and the holidays.

She said more than 25,000 residents have completed mental health self-assessments made available online at Be-Well-Indiana-dot-org, with more than half confirming moderate to severe depression, bipolar disorder or anxiety.
