CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) has released body camera video from August, when the agency said a Chicago police officer shot and killed an armed man on the Far South Side.

Two officers in a marked squad said they observed a confrontation between two men near 111th and Aberdeen Streets on Aug. 11. COPA said the officers saw one of the men had a gun in his back pocket, and they chased him into a home.

Video shows the officers on the floor inside the home trying to get the gun away from the man. He didn’t let the gun go. Both the man and an officer fired their weapons.

Body camera footage from one of the officers who witnessed the shooting is included below. Warning: The video contains graphic language and violence.
