For the most part, Nick Foles has been an improvement over Mitchell Trubisky as the Bears' starting quarterback. That was true when Foles led the Bears to a comeback win against the Falcons in relief of Trubisky in Week 3 and it was again so when the Bears earned a 20-19 win against the Buccaneers on Thursday evening.

Foles was 30-of-42 for 243 yards, one touchdown and one interception in facing a potent Tampa Bay defense on short rest. But it didn't start all that pretty for Foles, who caught the Bucs napping early in the second quarter when rookie receiver Darnell Mooney blew past cornerback Carlton Davis (who intercepted Foles on the previous possession), leaving him wide open for what should've been a cakewalk 52-yard touchdown. Instead, this is what transpired.

As you’d expect, the Twitter peanut gallery had plenty to say about Foles airmailing Mooney.

As bad as that gaffe was, Foles had an overthrow of receiver Allen Robinson that may have been worse, as it was a shorter throw. The miss brought out the punt unit.

Despite the early misses, Foles got the last laugh, as the Bears hit a late field goal to earn the win and improve to 4-1.
