A warrant was issued for the arrest of a Franklinville man who hurled racial slurs and allegedly harassed protesters while wielding a knife on Hertel Avenue in August.
Michael Cremen did not appear in Buffalo City Court on Wednesday to answer for the charges of harassment, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing. He wrote a letter to the district attorney last week saying he refuses to go to court if people are wearing a mask.
The warrant issued by Judge Barbara Johnson-Lee is a no-appearance warrant.
It's not immediately clear when he will be taken into custody by police and arraigned in Buffalo.
The district attorney declined comment ahead of his arraignment.
