The stash of food, clothing and supplies wrapped in a tarp was located partially hidden by a log in a wooded area near Warren, Pennsylvania, State Police officials say.
"We are releasing this as an example for the public as an example of what we are looking for as they may be in the outdoors this upcoming weekend," Lt. Col. George Bivens told reporters Thursday. "We are confident this was his."
Michael Burham, 34, fled the Warren County Prison late Thursday by climbing on exercise equipment to gain access to the roof and then used a rope fashioned from jail bedding to get down, authorities said. Prior to his escape, Burham had been held on $1 million bail and was facing numerous charges, including kidnapping and burglary.
The reward for information leading to Burham's capture has increased to $22 thousand and anyone with information should call 717 265 9650.
Police are urging the public t continue to remain vigilant and to review doorbell and surveillance video.
The manhunt consists of at least 15 state and federal agencies and includes about 200 law enforcement officers, Bivens said.
"Investigators remain convinced Burham remains in this general area, but we are aggressively following up on all leads," Bivins emphasized.
"We are going to catch him. It’s a matter of time."
