NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The effort to pull down “The Mario M. Cuomo Bridge” signs is alive and well in the Hudson Valley.
Lohud.com says a 17-year-old from Rockland County is emerging as a leader in the campaign.
David Dunlop’s signs reading “The bridge name must stay Tappan Zee” are catching on.
He printed 150 last year.
They include a black “X” over the late governor’s name.
He only has 10 signs left.
Dunlop insists this is not about politics, but rather he says the “Tappen Zee Bridge” name is deeply rooted in Hudson Valley history.
