The crash happened on Tuesday just before 2 p.m. when 62-year-old John MacMillan was driving his Chevrolet Malibu southbound on Route 130 and failed to stop at a stop sign on Horizon Center Boulevard, police said.

MacMillan hit nine vehicles at the intersection before coming to a stop, officials said.

One of the vehicles MacMillan struck was a Chevrolet Equinox driven by 76-year-old Frances Sgro. Firefighters removed her from the vehicle and Sgro was transferred to a nearby hospital where she later died, authorities said.

No charges have been filed as of yet and the investigation remains ongoing.
