Cops searching for 2 who beat, robbed man on subway near Grand Central Station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two men who beat and robbed a man in a subway car near Grand Central Station early Wednesday morning.

The 29-year-old victim was onboard a southbound 7 train approaching the Grand Central Station subway stop around 12:35 a.m. when the men jumped him, officials said.

The robbers punched him multiple times before taking his watch, cellphone and wallet, according to authorities.

The men fled once the train arrived at the platform.

The victim suffered minor injuries, but did not need to be hospitalized.
