NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Queens restaurant worker was shot on Saturday afternoon in what was reportedly the second attack at the Bangladeshi eatery in the last week.

Police said the cashier at Boishakhi Restaurant on 36th Avenue near 30th Street in Astoria was behind the register when gunfire rang out around 3:30 p.m., sending people scrambling for cover.

"Two [bullets] hit Sabbir. He was shot in the waist," the 42-year-old owner, who runs the eatery with her husband, told the Daily News. "We wonder if he’ll be able to walk again."

The owner said the wounded man is a Bangladeshi immigrant who has worked at the restaurant since it opened nine years ago.

Police said the victim was shot in the buttocks and rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was listed in stable condition.

The gunman fled, and there have been no arrests.

The shooting, which is still being investigated, appears to have been targeted, a source told the paper.

"This is the second incident at the same place with the same guy," the restaurant owner added. "He hit another customer with a baseball bat. He cracked his head open."

The Daily News obtained surveillance video of the Wednesday incident, which shows a masked suspect barging into the restaurant and swinging a red bat at a man sitting at a table inside, injuring him in the hand. A third man then leaps at the culprit, sparking a struggle before going out of the frame.

Eventually, the masked man reappears and swings his bat at a glass display, smashing it as he exits.

The NYPD could not confirm the Wednesday assault.
