
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Tuesday for a stolen vehicle crash that killed two boys, ages 15 and 17.
The teenager allegedly crashed the car around 6:36 p.m. on July 3 at the intersection of West 179th Street and Audubon Avenue by the Alexander Hamilton Bridge in Washington Heights, according to police.
The stolen Hyundai Elantra flipped on its side and crashed into two SUVs. The car had been reported stolen the day before.
Daniel Duran, 15, and Daniel Rodriguez, 17, were killed in the crash. Four more people were injured.
The 16-year-old boy, who police have not identified due to his age, faces charges for criminally negligent homicide, assault, criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.
