Orlando Cruz, 60, was arrested Sunday on charges of assault as a hate crime and aggravated harassment.

The arrest stems from an incident on May 26, when an 18-year-old man walking in Bedford-Stuyvesant was threatened by another man near Park Avenue and Spencer Street.

Police said the victim was in traditional Jewish clothing when a man came up and said he was “going to get rid of all you Jews.”

The stranger tried to punch the victim with a closed fist but missed, police said. He then pushed him to the ground and fled.

The victim was not seriously hurt and declined medical attention, according to police.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force released video of a suspect late last month as they investigated the assault.
