NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 73-year-old man was fatally struck as he crossed a Staten Island street Monday afternoon.
Yingqui Liu was crossing South Street when he was hit around 3 p.m. by a 2006 Ford E350 making a left turn onto the street from Forest Avenue, police said.
Liu was taken to Richmond University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing by the NYPD Highway Collision Investigation Squad.
