NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – A man was punched in the face and robbed by three thieves on a Bronx subway train, police said Monday as they released images of the suspects.

The 34-year-old victim was riding a southbound 6 train around 1:30 a.m. on May 31 when the trio targeted him near the Hunts Point Avenue station in Longwood.

The three males punched the victim in the face and snatched his cellphone before fleeing at the station, police said.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
