NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man pushed another man onto the tracks at a Bronx subway station during a fight Tuesday morning, according to police.

A 42-year-old man, who authorities said was intoxicated, was allegedly fighting with another man on the southbound D platform at the 174th–175th Streets station in Mount Eden around 6:15 a.m.

The suspect punched the victim in the mouth before pushing him onto the tracks and fleeing the station, officials said.

Good Samaritans helped the man off of the tracks before he was hit by a train or made contact with the third rail.

Emergency responders took him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

Police have not yet made any arrests.

The incident took place a day after an 18-year-old woman was pushed onto tracks at a Queens subway station. The woman suffered a cut to her knee, but was otherwise unharmed.
