NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 41-year-old man was slashed on a Queens subway platform Sunday morning, authorities said.
The victim was on the southbound F train platform of the Kew Gardens/Union Turnpike station around 6 a.m. when the incident happened, police said.
The attacker approached the man and slashed him with a sharp object before demanding his property, according to officials.
Emergency workers transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center while the attacker fled on the subway.
Cops said it was not immediately clear whether anything was taken from the victim during the assault.
