Man wanted for raping woman then robbing her in Brooklyn NYCHA complex

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A woman was raped and robbed in a Brooklyn public housing complex and police are searching for the man they say is responsible.

The victim knew the attacker, who goes by the name Todd, and entered a NYCHA building at 88 Monument Street with him on April 22 around 3 a.m., police said.

Once inside, Todd tried to have sex with the victim and when she refused, he put her in chokehold and she became unconscious, according to authorities.

When the victim regained consciousness, she realized Todd was raping her. After the assault, Todd stole $600 cash and a cellphone from the victim before fleeing the scene, cops said.

The victim was treated at Interfaith Hospital for scratches and bruises to her neck.

Todd is described as a Black man who is 27-years-old, weighs 120 lbs. With a thin build. He is 5'8" tall, with brown eyes, dark complexion and short dark braided hair. He was last seen wearing a light green jacket and blue pajama pants.
