
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An NYPD patrol vehicle was set on fire in the Bronx on Thursday night, police said as they search for the firebug responsible.

The NYPD released a photo of the charred SUV after officers found it “engulfed in flames” outside the Pelham Bay Park subway station around 10:20 p.m.
The officers had parked the vehicle as they went to do an inspection of the station. They returned to find it ablaze, police said.
The officers quickly put out the fire, and no injuries were reported, according to police.
The NYPD is investigating the fire as an arson.
