NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Two days after three teens were gunned down in Times Square, the NYPD released an image Wednesday of a young male suspected of shooting them.

A dispute between teens outside 5 Times Square led to the triple shooting at W. 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue around 11:45 p.m. Monday.

Three teen boys were left wounded at the busy intersection once the gunfire had stopped; two of them, ages 16 and 15, were hit in the thigh, while a third was struck in the arm.

All three were hospitalized in stable condition and are expected to survive.

Police recovered shell casings at the scene but no gun.

The suspected shooter was last seen entering the Times Square subway station, police said.

The NYPD described him as having a light complexion and hair tied in a bun.

The shooting happened just hours after a 15-year-old boy was fatally shot in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, on Monday afternoon. No arrests have been made in that case either, but police have indicated they've obtained unreleased video of a suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
