NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Three teens were shot and wounded in Times Square on Monday night, police said.

The three males—ages 18, 17 and 15—were gunned down at W. 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue just before midnight.

Two of the victims were hit in their thigh. They were transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

The third victim was struck in the arm. He showed up at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem and was also listed in stable condition.

The shooting was sparked by some sort of argument between a group of teens and the suspect, according to police.

The gunman fled eastbound on W. 43rd Street and was still being sought Tuesday. Investigators believe he and the victims were known to each other.

Police recovered shell casings at the scene but no gun.

The shooting came just hours after a 15-year-old boy was shot in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, on Monday afternoon. He died at a hospital on Tuesday morning.
