
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- An unidentified man attacked a 39-year-old woman on a Queens subway on Sunday and broke her jaw, police said.

The suspect, described to be in his late twenties, walked up to the victim and started punching her in the face on a southbound 7 train near the Hunters Point Avenue Subway Station around 2 p.m., officials said.
Police didn’t note any exchange between the two before the attack.
She was later transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
The suspect ran off and the investigation continues.
