Multiple shooters opened fire early Sunday morning in a crowded downtown St. Paul bar, killing a 20-year-old woman and wounding 14 others.

Saint Paul police say the calls came in around 12:15 a.m. from the Seventh Street Truck Park, located near the Xcel Energy Center.

"Officers rushed to the scene, they got there quicky, and they walked into a hellish situation," said St. Paul police spokesman Steve Linders.

"There were gunshot victims lying in the street outside the bar, there were gunshot victims lying in the sidewalk, and there were gunshot victims lying on the floor inside the bar," he said.

There are no arrests.

The 14 people who were left wounded during the shooting are now hospitalized and are expected to survive.

Linders says it's too early to tell what led to the shooting.

Police cordoned off a one-block area of West Seventh Street between Kellogg Boulevard and Chestnut Street until late Sunday morning.
