More violence in Minneapolis; one dead in north side stabbing

A stabbing in north Minneapolis Thursday night is being investigated as a homicide.

Police responding to the 2200 block of 4th street North around 930 to find a man, in his 30's, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital and later died.

Police say several individuals known to the victim were on the scene, but none provided details on what happened to investigators.

No arrests have been made.

This is the 51st death being investigated as a homicide in Minneapolis this year.

Also Thursday night, police investigating another outbreak of automatic gunfire downtown.

It happened near the intersection of First Avenue North and 4th Street during a vigil for a man that was killed at that same intersection the night before.

No injuries reported, and four arrests were made connected to the shooting.
