President Joe Biden’s administration has been ordered by a federal court to turn over any and all emails sent to social media outlets by both Dr. Anthony Fauci and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre pertaining to alleged misinformation.
The ruling is the result of a lawsuit brought by a pair of state attorneys general – Jeff Landry of Louisiana and Eric Schmitt of Missouri.
The suit alleges that the White House engaged in suppression of free speech on social media regarding topics including the theory of a laboratory leak being responsible for the origin of COVID-19 as well as other theories related to COVID lockdowns and elections.
“Senior government officials in the Executive Branch have moved into a phase of open collusion with social-media platforms under the Orwellian guise of halting so-called ‘disinformation,’ ‘misinformation’ and ‘malinformation,’” the lawsuit reads.
“As a result of these actions, there has been an unprecedented rise of censorship and suppression of free speech — including core political speech — on social media platforms,” it continues.
The order was handed down by Judge Terry Doughty in Louisiana. Doughty gave Biden 21 days to comply.
